BookOne Next – Release Notes: September 2026 Update

The BookOne Next September 2026 update, released on 4th September, brings 24 improvements focused on clearer reporting, smoother workflows, and better day-to-day hotel operations. From the revamped Guest In-House Report and improved reservation filters to more accurate billing, POS, and Night Audit handling, this release helps hotel teams work with greater clarity and fewer reconciliation issues.

Our latest release, out on 4th September 2026, focuses on making day-to-day reporting clearer and cleaning up a set of workflow issues across booking, guest management, and billing. In total this release covers 24 completed work items: 9 features and enhancements, and 15 bug fixes, spanning Booking, Guest CRM, Manage Property, Reports, POS/Orders, Night Audit, and the Dashboard.

What's New

Guest In-House Report, revamped. The Guest In-House Report has been rebuilt for better usability, so front office staff can read and act on in-house guest data faster during a shift.

Reservation view gets more useful. The Accommodation Dashboard's Reservation section now includes additional filters and displays a source image alongside each booking, making it easier to identify at a glance where a reservation came from.

Clearer expense exports. Expense Report exports, both Excel and PDF, now show the complete department name instead of a truncated version, so exported reports are easier to read without cross-referencing back into the system.

Cleaner product and service screens. The Product List, Product Group List, and Service Type List have all received UI improvements, making these day-to-day setup screens quicker to navigate.

More complete police reports. The Check-in Police Report now includes additional guest and address details, helping properties stay aligned with local reporting requirements without manual add-ons.

Reports that are easier to read. The Product Report and Forecast Report have both been revamped for better presentation, and the Departure Report and Cashier Report now have updated Print and Excel layouts.

Smoother navigation and payment filtering. Sticky headers and footers have been added across key pages, and the Payment Filter has been enhanced across Expense Management, Payment Management, Cashier Report, and Manage Payment, so finding the right record takes fewer clicks.

Fixes Worth Knowing About

This release also resolves a set of issues our users had flagged, including:

  • Advance payment allocation now reflects correctly in group booking child details.
  • Removed items no longer reappear in the KOT after an order update.
  • Half and Full variation item prices are now retained correctly when reopening the edit option.
  • Cancellations with longer cancellation reasons no longer fail.
  • The Save button now works reliably when adding a guest from Guest CRM.
  • Guest search by email has been optimised, removing an unnecessary API call.
  • Plan creation no longer carries over previously selected plan details by mistake.
  • Inventory updates now redirect correctly to the Manage Dashboard.
  • Image upload in Manage Property has been fixed.
  • The Connect OTA button in Manage Property now works as expected.
  • Room orders now correctly display the source plan name in the Order Dashboard.
  • Order Time now appears correctly on the order view page.
  • The Add Logo option on order invoices has been fixed.
  • Order invoices now correctly display the discounted price instead of the sell unit price.
  • Night Audit Report's Rate/Night calculation has been corrected for OTA and booking-engine bookings, including proper handling of OTA commission and convenience fees.

Why This Release Matters

A lot of this update is about accuracy and clarity in the reports your team relies on daily, expense exports, forecast and product reports, and the night audit's rate calculations. Small mismatches in these areas tend to surface as bigger reconciliation headaches at month-end, so cleaning them up here is meant to save time downstream, not just make screens look tidier.
