BookOne Next – Release Notes: August 2026 Update

We are pleased to announce the latest BookOne Next release, focused on improving hotel operations, booking and payment accuracy, reporting, employee management, POS workflows, and overall system stability.

This release includes 28 features and enhancements and 65 bug fixes and regression improvements, with significant updates across Booking Management, Group Bookings, Payments, Invoices, OTA workflows, Orders & POS, Inventory, Housekeeping, Guest CRM, Enquiries, Reports, HR, Payroll, Leave Management, Notifications, and UI/UX.

The goal of this release is to make everyday hotel operations more reliable, efficient, and easier to manage while addressing issues identified across different modules of the PMS.

Features & Enhancements

Booking & Payment Management

This release introduces several improvements to booking creation, payment processing, reporting, and OTA-related workflows.

• BHS-267 – Master Payment Settlement for Group Bookings
  Added a Master Payment Settlement toggle when converting a Single External Booking into a Group Booking, providing better control over payment settlement during the conversion process.
• BHS-46 – PayU Reference ID & Enquiry ID
  PayU Reference ID and Enquiry ID are now included in Confirmation Emails and Payment Management for easier payment and booking tracking.
• BHS-357 – Created Date Filter in Booking Report
  Added a Created Date filter to the Booking Report, making it easier to find and analyze bookings based on when they were created.
• BHS-364 – Optimized Save Payment
  Improved the Save Payment functionality in BookOne Next for a smoother and more efficient payment experience.
• BHS-174 – OTA Booking Invoice & Accounting
  Implemented invoice and accounting handling for OTA bookings within the PMS.
• BHS-328 – Improved Navigation After Booking Creation
  Enhanced back-navigation behavior after creating a booking from the Accommodation Dashboard.
• BHS-190 – Invoice ID Filter in Booking List
  Added Invoice ID filtering to the Booking List for faster booking and invoice identification.
• BHS-361 – Auto-Approval for Internal Transfers
  Implemented an automatic approval workflow for Internal Transfers based on the PMS property configuration.

Inventory, Product & Housekeeping

The release also improves inventory visibility, product management, and housekeeping workflows.

• BHS-465 – Product Out-of-Stock Option
  Added an Out-of-Stock option in Product Management to provide better control over product availability.
• BHS-355 – Housekeeping Inventory Behavior
  Implemented inventory behavior-based replacement options within Housekeeping.
• BHS-347 – Module Field for Inventory Items
  Added a Module field to Inventory Items for improved organization and classification.
• BHS-389 – Discounted Amount Calculation in Order Menu
  Added improved discounted amount calculation in the Order Menu.
• BHS-387 – Order Dashboard KPI Hover Data
  Added mouse-hover data for Order Dashboard KPIs, similar to the previous dashboard layout.

Expense, HR & Payroll

Several enhancements have been introduced to help hotels manage expenses, employee attendance, leave, and payroll more effectively.

  Added Expense Summary by Payment Status to the Dashboard and Expense Report.
• BHS-320 – HR & Employee Feature Improvements
  Implemented multiple UI and employee management improvements across the HR module.
• BHS-386 – Attendance Scheduler
  The Attendance Scheduler can now automatically mark employees as absent after 12:00 AM when no Check-In or Check-Out is recorded.
• BHS-415 – Paid Leave & Comp-Off Leave
  Added support for Paid Leave and Comp-Off Leave during Leave Application.
• BHS-422 – Advance Salary in Payroll
  Added an Advance Salary option in Payroll & Salary for Admin and HR users.
• BHS-407 – OTA Name & Logo Display
  OTA names and logos can now be displayed based on the property's active subscription.
• BHS-448 – Automatic Service Short Name
  Added automatic Service Short Name generation for Tours, Travel Agent, and Broker service types.
• BHS-461 – Supplier GST Number in PO PDF
  Supplier GST Number is now included in Purchase Order PDFs.

Other Enhancements

Additional improvements across the system include:

• BHS-231 – Fixed On-Hold inventory count not updating after enquiry confirmation.
• BHS-253 – Fixed incorrect refund amount displayed in website child-booking cancellation emails.
• BHS-250 – Fixed rooms not being released from Day View after booking actions.
• BHS-367 – Fixed the inability to change a Group Booking Check-In Date to an earlier available date.
