BookOne Next – October 2026 Update: Smarter Bookings, Easier Room Management & More

Discover what's new in BookOne Next – October 2026 Update! From Whole Property Booking and drag-and-drop room allocation to improved group reservations, payments, Channel Manager, POS, and reporting, this release brings smarter features and smoother workflows to simplify daily hotel operations and help hoteliers manage their properties more efficiently.

Managing a hotel involves much more than handling reservations. From room allocation and guest communication to payment collection, inventory management, and reporting, every operation needs to work smoothly.

At BookOne, we're continuously improving our hotel management software to make everyday tasks simpler, more accurate, and more efficient.

With the October 2026 update of BookOne Next, we're introducing new capabilities and enhancements across booking management, front office operations, group reservations, channel management, POS, payments, and reporting.

Let's explore what's new and how these improvements can help your property.

1. Whole Property Booking – Manage Complete Property Reservations

One of the key additions to this release is the Whole Property Booking feature.

Hotels, resorts, homestays, and boutique properties sometimes receive enquiries from guests who want to reserve the entire property for family gatherings, private celebrations, corporate groups, or special occasions.

With this new feature, properties can reserve all available rooms under a single booking.

What's new?

Reserve all available rooms at a property within one booking.

Simplify reservation handling for guests booking an entire property.

Reduce the need to manage several separate reservations for the same group.

How it helps: Whole Property Booking makes it easier to handle exclusive property reservations while keeping booking management more organised.

2. Drag-and-Drop Room Allocation – Faster Front Desk Operations

Room allocation is one of the most frequent tasks handled by hotel front desk teams.

To make this process more convenient, BookOne Next now introduces drag-and-drop room allocation directly within Stay View.

Instead of relying only on the existing room allocation process, hotel staff can manage room assignments more easily through the visual Stay View grid.

Additional improvements

Improved room card handling when one guest checks out and another checks in on the same day.

More accurate booking visibility in Calendar View when a stay overlaps two months.

Improved Stay Over information for occupied dates.

Corrected booking due amounts and cancellation details shown in Stay View.

Improved room assignment and booking status accuracy.

How it helps: These changes make room allocation more convenient and help front office teams maintain a clearer view of occupancy and daily room movements.

3. Smoother Booking & Reservation Management

Every reservation involves multiple steps, from initial booking to guest amendments, payments, and checkout.

This update improves several booking workflows to reduce confusion and keep reservation information accurate.

Key improvements

More convenient Day Trip bookings

The Day Trip booking experience has been improved, including updates to the checkout process.

Better booking modifications

Improvements to booking date changes, room category changes, and guest amendments help ensure reservations remain accurate when details are updated.

Improved tentative booking controls

Tentative bookings now include additional restrictions on advance payment collection and room allocation, helping teams distinguish tentative reservations from confirmed bookings.

Better booking cancellation handling

Updates address cancellation status, booking restoration, and cancellation-related processing across applicable reservation types.

Improved reservation search and organisation

Reservation columns now support sorting, making it easier for front desk staff to organise booking information. Improvements have also been made to booking filters, automatic room assignment, and room release handling.

How it helps: These refinements support more consistent reservation management and make everyday booking operations easier to handle.

4. Group Booking Enhancements – Better Accuracy for Large Reservations

Group bookings often involve multiple rooms, guest categories, payment arrangements, and invoices.

BookOne Next now includes a series of improvements designed to make group reservation handling more reliable.

What's improved?

Improved payment distribution between master and individual bookings.

More accurate booking totals after converting an individual reservation into a group booking.

Better visibility of unallocated group rooms in Stay View.

Improved cancellation charges and guest-count handling.

How it helps: These enhancements reduce discrepancies in group booking calculations and help hotel teams manage complex reservations with greater confidence.
